Follow along as we rebuild this failed “engineered” retaining wall system! We are going to bring you through how we rebuilt this entire slope, retaining wall, paver patio and put new footings under the house and deck during the process. This is a very complex build and look forward to getting it done right for our clients this time around!

As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, we want to thank every homeowner who has trusted us with their property.

This property started as a heavily wooded site. Our team was brought in from day one to clear the land, perform soil corrections, excavate the building pad, prepare footings, complete backfilling, install the driveways, and ultimately create the foundation for every outdoor space on the property.

From there, we transformed the exterior with multiple Unilock paver systems, natural stone elements, and custom outdoor living spaces designed to complement the home.

Projects like this are what we love most. Being involved from the first tree removed to the final paver laid allows us to help shape the entire vision of a property and also helps us ensure all the foundations for what we are building is done right. Often times when multiple contractors are involved on these projects, we find the project going one step forward two steps back.

Engineered boulder wall install to construct a switch back path on a 1.5:1 slope. In this video you can see us tying in geo grid to reinforce the wall as well as watering and mixing our backfill. This is to ensure we are reaching proper compaction with our backfill materials. When hiring a contractor for a project of this scale, make sure they are talking you through all of these steps in detail prior to the project even starting. There’s a lot more that goes into these large projects than just stacking rocks on top of each other.
