Beautiful built-ins with a little secret. 👀

Custom storage doesn’t have to look like storage.

This living room was transformed with custom built-in cabinetry designed to frame the fireplace and provide plenty of functional storage while still feeling like part of the architecture of the room.

The centerpiece is the faux barn beam fireplace mantel. It brings the warmth and character of a substantial wood beam to the space, but there’s more to it than meets the eye. The entire face flips down to reveal additional hidden storage inside. Perfect for keeping valuables, electronics, accessories, or everyday clutter tucked neatly out of sight.

From the built-in shelving and lower cabinets to the rich wood surfaces and hidden mantel compartment, every inch was designed with both form and function in mind.

Because sometimes the best storage is the storage you’d never know was there. 🪵✨

Happy New Year ✨

As we step into a new year, we wanted to share a project from our archives that still defines who we are and how we work.

This custom door was designed and built by us for a husband and wife who are both Doctors of Chemistry, university professors, and highly accomplished in their fields. Their expectations were exacting — and rightly so.

When they contacted us, every other company they had spoken to told them the same thing: it couldn’t be done. The challenge was to design and build an exterior rated door that perfectly matched existing interior doors installed long before we were involved.

We did it.

The result blended seamlessly with the existing architecture, to the point that you’d never know it wasn’t original. They were so pleased that they later told us they wished they had contacted us before completing the rest of their doors and trim — and we ultimately repaired and corrected several of those pieces as well.

Great craftsmanship isn’t about shortcuts or convenience. It’s about listening carefully, respecting the vision, and committing to the details — even when the answer everyone else gives is no.

Here’s to a new year of doing the work others won’t.

Whether it’s pulled out for extra prep and seating or tucked neatly away to open the room, this piece adapts effortlessly to the moment while maintaining the look and feel of a built-in feature.

It’s proof that thoughtful design can make any space functional, beautiful, and entirely your own.

Wood tells a story — sometimes that story is written in decades of weather, wear, and decay.

This ornate trim from an old cathedral rectory door had begun to crumble, its detail fading with time. Too fragile to last, but too beautiful to lose, we reconstructed the design piece by piece, preserving its character while giving it the strength to endure for years to come.

Not all kitchen space is created equal.

One of the challenges in kitchen design is how to make use of the “dead corner” — where traditional cabinets meet and valuable square footage often goes unused.

Our solution? An automatic pull-out shelf system that makes every inch of storage accessible. Smooth, seamless, this feature turns wasted space into smart space — keeping the kitchen functional without compromising its sleek design.

It’s a small detail with a big impact: more function, better flow, and smarter use of space. It’s one more example of how thoughtful details make a kitchen work beautifully for everyday life - and that’s what custom design is all about.
