Pull up the diverter on your tub spout, and the water should go to the showerhead. Push it back down, and it should flow into the tub. Simple, right?

But what happens when that little diverter gets STUCK? 😆

Your plumbing usually gives you plenty of chances to do the right thing… but most of us wait until there’s water on the floor. 😂💦

🚰 Know your main shut-off valve
Find it BEFORE the pipe decides to become a garden hose inside your house. Turn it off fast and save yourself from a much bigger mess!

🚽 Watch what you flush
Toilet paper? 👍
Human waste? 👍
Wipes, paper towels, cotton balls, mystery objects? 👎
Your toilet is NOT a garbage disposal. Trust us. Your pipes will thank you.

🕸️ Protect your drains
Mesh strainers in your sinks and showers catch hair, food, and other unwanted guests before they head into your plumbing.

🧪 Skip the chemical drain cleaners
Those bottles promise to “destroy clogs,” but they can also be tough on your plumbing. A drain snake is a much better option—and sometimes your drain just needs a professional.

🔧 Exercise your shut-off valves
Twice a year, turn your water shut-off valves off and back on to help keep them from sticking. Because discovering your shut-off valve DOESN’T shut off water during an emergency is a terrible time to learn that lesson. 😳

We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, first responders, military members, and everyday Americans who showed extraordinary courage, compassion, and strength.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember.
We still honor.

Your garbage disposal is NOT a trash can with a motor. 😂

Before you send something down the food eater, stop and ask yourself:

🤔 “Would I put this through a blender?”

If the answer is NOPE… probably don’t put it in the disposal! 😂

🚫 Grease & cooking oil
🚫 Bones
🚫 Eggshells
🚫 Coffee grounds
🚫 Pasta & rice
🚫 Potato peels
🚫 Fibrous foods like celery
🚫 And absolutely NOTHING that looks like it belongs in the garbage can!

Because eventually… something is going to clog it, jam it, or make it scream for help. 😱🔧
