Work on the DuPont Bridge replacement in Panama City is moving forward steadily. Crews are continuing pile driving operations at multiple piers while also cutting off pile,  pouring pile plugs, and forming and pouring bent caps.
Today we reached a major milestone: pouring our first seal slab! Great work by the entire team as momentum continues to build on this project.

Project update from the Tensaw River bridge in Mobile, Alabama!
As we continue to make substantial progress, we are excited to share that all floating footings have now been completed!
To date, crews have successfully poured:
• 27 columns
• 8 caps
Work is moving forward steadily, and additional columns and caps are scheduled to be poured throughout this month.
We appreciate the hard work of everyone involved as this job continues to take shape!

Each year, our Scott Bridge Company Management Meeting gives us the opportunity to come together, learn from one another, and spend time building relationships with our team. It is something we always look forward to and value as a company. This year, that time together centered on a simple question: What is your why?
The message encouraged us to look beyond policies and procedures and think about the personal reasons behind working safely each day. Safety can become reactive. We respond after incidents, adjust behavior based on who is present, or approach certain jobs differently. Lasting safety comes from purpose, not pressure.
During the meeting, leaders and team members shared what motivates them to make safe choices. For many, it is family, coworkers, faith, and the commitment to return home each day. When your “why” is clear, your actions follow with consistency and intention.
The goal now is to keep the conversation going. Ask your coworkers. Share your reason. When everyone understands their purpose, safer decisions become part of the culture on every job, every day.

As we wrap up this week, the message doesn’t end here. Work zone safety isn’t just something to think about once a year....

As we wrap up this week, the message doesn’t end here. Work zone safety isn’t just something to think about once a year. It matters every single day.
Every cone, sign, and lane closure represents people at work. Men and women with families, friends, and lives waiting for them at home. A moment of inattention behind the wheel can change everything.
This week, the Scott Bridge crews took extra time to review and reinforce work zone safety practices. We are committed to doing our part to keep everyone safe.
Now we are asking you to do yours:
- Slow down
- Stay alert
- Eliminate distractions
-  Give workers the space they need
Work zones are temporary. The impact of unsafe driving is not.
Let’s make sure everyone gets home safely every day.

Happy 20th anniversary, Stephen Summers!
It’s hard to believe it’s been two decades since you started at Scott Bridge Company. From your time as a project manager to now leading as Vice President of Power Services & Public Works, you’ve made a lasting impact every step of the way.
Beyond the day-to-day, your contribution to this company is hard to put into words. The value you bring is truly immeasurable, and the example you set has shaped us all. You’ve been a mentor to many, and that influence carries through the entire team.
But what really stands out is the energy you bring to the office every day. You’re the one keeping spirits up, making people laugh, and somehow always knowing when someone needs a little extra encouragement.
And we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention your selfless tradition of baking chocolate chip cookies for everyone on Fridays…safe to say it’s a weekly highlight around here!

Scott Bridge crews are making headway on the Stage 2 bridge at US 84 over the Satilla River in Waycross, Georgia, successfully completing the first three deck pours last week! Our team has been working day and night, to keep this project moving forward safely and efficiently. We’re committed to minimizing disruptions and keeping traffic flowing for the community as construction progresses!
