Job Title: Journeyman Electrician / Service Technician
Location: South KC Metro / Johnson County
Employment Type: Full-Time, Part Time or Contract (1099)
Compensation: $28–$36/hour + Benefits
The Role
We are seeking a versatile, high-energy Journeyman Electrician with a specialized background in service and repair. This isn't just a "pulling wire on a new build" job—you are a problem solver. You will be the face of our company, rotating between residential homes and commercial properties to diagnose, repair, and upgrade electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
Troubleshooting: Perform expert diagnostics on complex electrical issues in both residential (single-family, multi-family) and commercial (retail, office, light industrial) environments.
Service & Repair: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures (e.g., lighting, motors, control systems, EV chargers).
Customer Interaction: Communicate clearly with homeowners and facility managers, explaining technical issues in "plain English" and providing accurate estimates.
Code Compliance: Ensure all work meets or exceeds local and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
Documentation: Maintain digital records of work orders, materials used, and safety inspections using our field management software.
Required Qualifications
License: Valid State Journeyman Electrician License (Required).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience, with a proven track record in a Service Technician capacity.
Versatility: Demonstrated ability to handle both residential service calls and commercial service work.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Soft Skills: Professional appearance, strong punctuality, and a "customer-first" attitude.
Clean Record: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (you will be operating a company vehicle).
