Jill C. Hughes, MSN, RNC-OB, recently joined the Oklahoma Hospital Association and Oklahoma Perinatal Quality Improvement Collaborative (OPQIC) as Program Director. Jill brings more than 25 years of nursing leadership experience in Women’s & Children’s Services, clinical quality, nursing education and system-wide process improvement, including many years with INTEGRIS Canadian Valley Hospital and the INTEGRIS Health system. Throughout her career, she has led multidisciplinary teams, advanced evidence-based practice and worked to improve the quality and consistency of care for Oklahoma women and families.
At OPQIC, Jill will lead the Oklahoma Maternal Addiction and Mental Health Assistance (OK-MAMA) initiative, a statewide effort to improve care for pregnant and postpartum patients experiencing mental health conditions and substance use disorders. Jill will work with participating hospitals to implement the Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) Perinatal Mental Health Conditions and Substance Use Disorder Patient Safety Bundles, helping teams strengthen screening, treatment, referral and follow-up while building more consistent, coordinated systems of care across Oklahoma.
