Congratulations to LaKendra Chuculate, third-grade teacher at Collins Elementary School of Bristow Public Schools, for being named our October Power Educator of the Month!

“I became a teacher because I wanted to be someone who encourages kids, believes in them, and helps them become successful both in school and in life,” Chuculate says.

Thank you, Ms. Chuculate, for more than 20 years of encouraging and empowering students. Learn more and nominate an educator: OGE.com/education

We’re hooked on hands-on learning!

Third and fourth grade students from Glencoe Elementary joined OG&E for our fishing clinic at Sooner Power Plant, where they learned about aquatic education from OG&E chemist Jason before buddying up with our members to cast a line.

The students even spotted a beaver and an otter during their day at the plant!

A big thank you to our employees who volunteered their time and to our partners, Hunzicker, EIA, Jatasco, RGA, VSI and Total Valve, for donating lunch and fishing pole kits to help make the day possible.

Neighbors helping neighbors. OG&E partnered with Rebuilding Together Oklahoma City to make critical repairs for homeowner Silvestra, creating a safer, more comfortable place to call home. We also provided an in-home energy assessment through our Energy Efficiency Program to uncover energy- and cost-saving opportunities. It's an honor to support our neighbors to help create a lasting impact beyond the power we provide.

Eleven members of our Distribution Services team spent their time assembling furniture for six emergency safe houses at the YWCA Oklahoma City. Their efforts helped move these homes closer to opening, providing support and shelter for women in our community who need it most.

Thank you to our team for lending their hands and hearts to such an important cause.

A court can do more than change a game. 💙 🏀 It can be a place to belong, build confidence, and create lifelong memories. We're proud to see this re-energized court serving the Enid community and excited for the impact it will have for years to come. Because every child deserves a place to play, dream, and grow. Thank you for your incredible partnership in making this happen, Oklahoma City Thunder!
