It happens to the best of us.

One minute, you are ordering enough candy to fill the impulse section of the store, and the next thing that you know, you have 12,000 candy bars arrive on the delivery truck.

She thought that she was ordering 288 candy bars - a full case - but they only had 42 in the warehouse, so that's what we got.

Good thing that they didn't have 288 cases! 🤣

As part of our Emergency Preparedness focus for September, we will be honoring the AVERT program in our Round Up!

September is Emergency Preparedness Month, and this year we’re teaming up with Grays Harbor AVERT — the volunteer emergency response team that helps our community get ready before disaster strikes.

When you Round Up at the register, your spare change supports AVERT’s hands‑on programs, including:
• Free in‑home disaster planning workshops
• Go‑bag education (for you and your pets!)
• Community CERT‑trained volunteers who partner with local fire & police departments
• Preparedness outreach across Ocean Shores and Grays Harbor County

These volunteers are the folks teaching our neighbors how to build emergency kits, plan ahead, and stay safe when the unexpected happens — exactly the kind of readiness we’re highlighting all month long.

Thanks so our AMAZING grill team here at Buck Electric Ace Hardware, we had a very successful End of Summer BBQ Party! David spent hours smoking beef into the most delicious, tender burnt ends you have ever tasted, and Shane wowed with his candied pineapple that was "the best that I've ever tasted"! (both purchased locally at OSIGA!)

The food was SO GOOD that our donation bucket was filled to the brim - a hefty donation of $249 for our friends at the VFW.

Not a bad way at all to spend a Saturday!

Saturday Shout Out to the members of ERMRA - and to YOU!

Your generous donations in July added up to a $3672 donation to this well-deserving group that does so much for our community. You should be proud of yourselves, all of you!

It is always a great time when they come to accept a donation - we can hear them pulling in to the parking lot! They even gave us a beautiful certificate that we appreciate so much.

It also gave us a chance to get one last picture with Candle before she graduates to a new job at Ocean Shores Elementary! We're going to miss her so much...
