It’s 9:30 at night, you’re getting ready for bed. A customer texts you and asks if their piece will be delivered in 2 days. My heart sinks. With how busy things have gotten, I forgot to add a customers presentation date to our tracker... It’s my fault entirely and I owned it. My life has been a little chaotic lately. Between hiring a personal trainer and training 5 days a week, tracking macros, and hurting my bicep, things have just felt hectic. Life is demanding a lot from us right now, and I understand that it’s just a season.
There was two ways I could have responded to the situation.. one of which would have guaranteed losing a customer. So we did what we do best. As if the last 10 years were spent preparing for this moment.
We high tailed it out to the shop and pulled through in just over an hour. Somewhere in there, I learned a valuable lesson. Everyones order needs an expected presentation date written down, even the ones who technically have no deadline.. I also became more aware of the fact that we are really good at what we do..
The piece came out perfect after watching it cure all night. and it’ll fly out today for a delivery tomorrow.
Are we a bit tired and groggy today? You bet. But through all of that, I’m more confident than ever in our skills.
We give a damn. Plain and simple.
If it can be done, it will.
