Swing and Latin Standards with a Twist. Vocalist, Evelyn Salguero, interprets classics of the American and Latin American songbooks backed by a full band including Miguel Govea (trumpet & accordion), Chris Reid (guitar & vocals), Joe Rosato Jr (upright bass) and Berkeley’s own, Dave Eagle on percussion.
2–3pm & 4-5pm LOS BAHIANATOS
Two full sets of live music by Los Bahianatos letting rip with their signature blend of cumbia, vallenato and chicha psychedélica for your dancing pleasure on a Sunday afternoon.
As if all that weren’t enough, Evelyn Salguero will also be offering her exquisite henna artistry just up the street all throughout the day (except when she’s singing, of course!)
We will also be celebrating our bandmate, Giovanni Ramirez’s birthday — and Evelyn’s birthday week too, for that matter!
