Here’s a little look at how hardwood floor repairs are actually done. 👇

Instead of just filling a damaged spot and hoping it blends, we carefully remove the affected boards, cut back to solid material, then weave new hardwood into the existing floor. Once everything is sanded, stained and finished together, the goal is for that repair to disappear into the rest of the floor.

It takes a little more time and precision, but doing it right makes all the difference.

Our Mentor job is wrapped up! 🙌 Those stubborn stains covered beautifully with Dark Walnut, then we finished everything off with LOBA Satin … of course. 😏

A little behind-the-scenes from our Mentor job 👇

We’re weaving new hardwood into the existing floor so the kitchen doesn’t look like it was added on later. Instead of stopping the old floor in a straight line and starting the new, individual boards are removed and new boards are staggered into the existing pattern.

It takes more time, more precision, and a good eye for layout… but when it’s done right, the transition practically disappears. That’s the goal. 👌
