Here's your spring cleaning checklist:
1- Trim trees and shrubs
2- Clean gutters
3-Turn on outdoor water taps and make sure to check the basement for leaks shortly after doing it!
4-Check for any signs of birds and bees nests. Unless you’re trying to make honey, bee-free is the way to be!
5-Have your air conditioning system professionally serviced.
6-Clean the garage. Out with the old and in with the new! Spring is the perfect time to donate those unused goods to others in need. Make room for your car to fit in the garage!

With weather conditions like the high gusty winds yesterday, keep an open eye for damage it may cause. First check any loose shingles you may have on your roof that flap back and forth till they rip completely off and land in your neighbors yard. Those are the easiest damages to spot. This also goes for siding as well.

Trees become the biggest threats as they can cause the most significant damage whether they topple over or branches break off and strike areas on your home.

Older chimneys are usually affected by high winds and freeze thaw conditions. They take the weathers direct blow always being in the open like they are.

After the winds subside, take a walk around your home and look for any possible damages there may be. Don't let it go unfixed as the next damage you'll be fixing is water damage.
