A fence isn’t just a fence for some people, it’s a conversation piece!
While working to set new wooden posts through the burial ground of a massive elm tree stump and root ball on the back line, we dressed up this retaining wall with surface mounted aluminum to enhance this backyard for entertaining!
The details matter, every single one. Notable mentions include:
- Stump digging.. too big to go around so we went through. Enough to bring grown men to their knees, we’re still standing.
- Plumbing and aligning posts - surface mounted posts on a wall that isn’t level or straight takes a special kind of patience and talent most aren’t willing to go through
- Flow - Working in the X, Y, and Z planes for all our math lovers.. we made this fence flow over the transitions on this irregular retaining wall. We paid close attention to match the panel lines over the drops and maintained a similar gap level close to the ground. This is actually extremely impressive, your handyman said so.
- Aesthetics - Retaining wall sections were different lengths, so to get fence sections similar in size over each run we had to work a little magic with the spindle spacing. Good thing we’re good at magic.
Our team received the HIGHEST praises from our client and ALL of the neighbors. It was a rewarding feeling, our team is top notch
