“We listen to what clients want and work hard to make their visions happen,” Jim says. “We spend a lot of time communicating with them to really find out who they are and what makes their house a home. Things like lighting, faucets, appliances and even colors are what make kitchen and master bathroom spaces personal. Once we get these elements right, the house feels like a home.”

A home renovation is made up of millions of little decisions.

The layout. The materials. The finishes. The lighting. The details you notice immediately, and the ones you may never consciously notice at all.

When design and construction work together under one team, those decisions can be made with the entire home in mind, from the first concept to the final detail.

This whole-home renovation was a true collaboration between our interior design team and general contractor, bringing the vision to life from start to finish.

Most DFW homeowners don’t regret the actual renovation, but how it was managed.

Here are the 3 reasons renovations go sideways”

1️⃣ The designer and contractor aren’t aligned — so decisions made in the design phase get undone on-site.
2️⃣ Design choices get pushed too late — and suddenly you’re picking tile under pressure with workers waiting.
3️⃣ No single point of accountability — you become the project manager of your own renovation.

We built our entire process to eliminate all three. One team. One vision. Zero handoffs.

Reach out if we can help make your renovation an enjoyable process!

JC Design Team 🤝 Contractor Jim Watson

When your interior designer and your contractor are aligned before a single wall comes down, everything changes. Fewer surprises. Faster decisions. A finished result that actually matches the vision you started with.

This is the difference seamless coordination makes and it’s the reason our clients enjoy the process instead of dreading it.

Your home already has the space. It just needs the right vision.

The clients we work with aren’t ready to leave the home they’ve spent years perfecting. They want more from it. A forgotten bonus room that finally feels intentional. Extra square footage that needs new life. In this case, an untouched attic turned into a retreat for their kids and guests.

We handle every detail, design and construction fully aligned, so the result feels seamless and the process feels effortless.

Homes in Southlake, Westlake and Flower Mound are sitting on incredible bones.

High ceilings. Generous square footage. Layouts that were built for something more.

Here’s what we’ve been doing with them lately — transforming underused spaces into the rooms our clients didn’t know they were missing.

If you’re in DFW and you’ve been thinking about what your home could become, this one’s for you. Swipe to see the details of a Flower Mound Primary Suite renovation & addition 👉

The details are what make or break a renovation.

The grout lines, the trim finishes, the way the light hits a tile selection… none of it happens by accident. And when you’re managing a full home renovation, the sheer number of decisions can become completely overwhelming.

That’s exactly why having a designer in your corner matters. We track every specification, coordinate every finish, and make sure nothing gets lost between the vision and the final result. You get to stay excited about the transformation without drowning in the details.

Because the details? That’s our job.

Custom lighting is one of those details that completely changes the feel of a space. Our homeowners wanted more than functional lighting in their golf simulator room. The design team worked with our electrician to create this memorable detail.

Luxury is not defined by square footage.

We recently completed this beautifully updated condo renovation in the highly sought-after area. We love the opportunity to bring the same level of detail, craftsmanship, and elevated design to smaller scale spaces as well.

Before the final reveal - here’s a peek of a custom w**e room that was once a powder bathroom. It is taking shape with custom stained millwork & storage, backlit crystal slab and textured tile floor. We can’t wait to share the complete renovation soon!
