Making a table for the basement, will publish pictures when done, getting finish on now. Needed a place for soldering and electronics work, to be able to clear off the clutter on the ham radio shack table and shelves.

Detail of magnetic catch. Wedge block in place in Sharpening Station, bottom edge of Front is wrapped in walnut. The magnets are matched pairs and are visible on front lip of box and bottom edge of Front. There are 5 matched pairs on bottom and 5 matched pairs on top. Push on the top of Front and the bottom of Front tips out and falls out. Works better than expected. Design and construction by The Beaux Box.

The wedge holder holding the magnetic block with a Veritas steel honing plate resting on the corner. A non-skid mat is underneath. The wedge holder is sized to hold the magnetic block for steel plates, the Gold stone, or Japanese water stones. Changes are quick and easy.

Front removed from Sharpening Station. Wedge block holds magnetic block on bottom, three steel plates for the 3 grades of diamond paste, the Gold stone for final honing, and on the top shelf the Veritas Honing Guide, with a variety of other stuff. In the larger compartment the Dia-Paste in 6µ, 3µ, and 1µ tubes. Stuff lasts a long time as it embeds itself into the soft steel plates. The plates are wrapped in VCI paper to inhibit rust. There are tiny circles visible on the bottom edge which are magnets to hold the front in place.

Rear of unconventional workbench. The pipe clamps are to be a tail vise. Bench dogs can be fitted and the pipe tail clamps adjusted to move the dogs, the white shelving rests on the pipes and may be fitted for needed length. Edge view of Sharpening Station.

Dave Conrardy the Raw Food truck driver was gracious enough to come to the Raw Food Meetup in Normal IL on August 21 2012 despite the relatively small group meeting there and gave an interesting account of his life and entry into health from a position of approaching death from multiple illnesses through organic green juicing while driving a truck on the road 80 hours a week. If you ever get the chance to see him in person it is well worth the effort.
