100yr Old House Room Remodel

Drywall thus far. I didn't do any of the wiring. And the fireplace was pre-existing. But ill be repairing loose bricks and custom installing the mantle into place before done.

These are just progress photos that've been taken up to now.

6in. round wood posts (treated wood), T-post and hog-wire & a steel gate.

Cold Air Return project.

Re-routed cold air return to higher up the wall and added a small circulation fan to pull heat from the fireplace to circulate throughout the house using the HVAC Fan Only setting. Changed a 2 switch box in the wall to a 3 switch box, and added the new switch to the box to control the installed fan.

Home owner says even at this stage it works well. Even with the HVAC system completely off, the installed fan pulls the heat from the room and distributes it from the cold air return locations throughout the house.

I hope you guys will comment with photos after paint. 🙃
