I am too tired to say of anything profound to say, but here are a few photos. Autumn is very beautiful in it’s rapidly fleeting intensity

Truly glorious weather to work in these days, the habitat is buzzing with late season activity. Aster cordifolius Avondale is putting on a show right now, one of my favorites - that soft purple tinge is so subtle!

Thank you Arts Council of Princeton for giving us a chance to try our hands at such a fun project, thank you Michele Falcey for partnering with me and thank you to Pascale & Adam for the glorious dark burgundy dahlias and red amaranth that brought it all together…

We are having fun with holiday decor this year, abundant rain makes for stress free container gardening. Keep in mind - many native asters are great container and fall color options. If you must have mums - they are perennial, plant them in the ground and save a plastic pot next year. Support your local garden centers and native plant nurseries!

Fall decor has begun..:This crisp fall weather has been amazing to work in. Sun, breeze and rain - what else could. gardener need.

The meadows are heavy with asters, tall grasses and seed pods of summer blooms, the dahlias are rushing to show their full glory before the cold settles in, the frogs are soaking in the sun… as hard as this season has been, i am not ready for it to end yet. More garden paths, rain gardens and meadow seeding to come this fall. Thank you to revival construction company for the original bridge design and lovely vegetable garden.

The Obama center in Chicago has such lovely landscaping! Love their rain garden and meadow design.

The summer is coming to an end and as much as I look forward to a lighter schedule…i am not ready. This season has been one challenge after another, but the rain kept coming and the plants kept growing and that is all a gardner could ask for. Happy weekend, friends.
