Project update from the Governors Island substation.

Navillus is responsible for the full concrete scope on the project within the building footprint, including the foundations, slab-on-grade, second floor, and roof deck.

Concrete work began with the pile caps and grade beams from January through March, followed by the second floor, roof deck, and slab-on-grade work during June and July.

Our team is now advancing the masonry scope, marking the next phase of work as the structure continues to take shape.

The masonry scope includes regular CMU and Spectra glazed white block. Masonry work began during the second week of July, with the project expected to be completed before November.

The masonry work includes interior walls, exterior CMU walls, and exterior 4-inch veneer block.

Proud to support Fergus Farrell on his remarkable journey across America.

Fergus’ story is one of extraordinary resilience, determination, and hope. After sustaining a spinal cord injury in 2018 and being told he may never walk again, he fought his way back and today he is walking more than 30 miles a day across the United States to raise awareness and vital funds for Spinal Injuries Ireland and the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

Great progress at HS 425Q – John Bowne High School Annex in Queens!

Navillus is delivering the concrete superstructure for the new school, and our work is now nearing completion as the team finishes the bulkhead, parapet, and remaining details.

Today, we remember.

On the 25th anniversary of September 11, we honor the lives lost, the families and communities forever changed, the first responders, and all those whose courage and service continue to define this day.

For Navillus, the National September 11 Memorial was where our work at the World Trade Center began. In 2008, we were entrusted with the concrete superstructure for the Memorial, including the structures supporting the reflecting pools and waterfalls within the footprints of the original Twin Towers.

That work was completed in time for the Memorial's opening on September 11, 2011, ten years after the attacks. But it was only the beginning.

Over 18 years, Navillus performed 61 contracts across the rebuilt World Trade Center campus, beginning with the Memorial itself: concrete, masonry, stone, flood protection, and other work across the site.

Behind that work were hundreds of people who helped build, rebuild, and restore one of the most significant sites in New York City.

Twenty-five years later, we remember those we lost. We honor those who served. And we remain mindful of the responsibility of helping create a place where their lives and legacy will never be forgotten.

What a first week for Fergus!

Day 7 brought another 42 km through Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, taking Fergus Farrell to an incredible 328 km covered in just one week.

Navillus is proud to sponsor as Fergus makes his way across America, raising awareness and support for Spinal Injuries Ireland and the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

There’s still a long road ahead, and we’ll be cheering him on throughout the journey.

All the way to the penthouse level! Navillus is performing the concrete scope on the White Plains Hospital Expansion, working with construction manager on a 10 story addition that will bring more private patient rooms, new operating rooms, and a much bigger emergency department to Westchester. Our crews have completed every slab up to the top of the building, with the final curbs and pads underway. Concrete work that will support care in this community for generations. The view from up there? Earned, one pour at a time.

Tennis season in Queens always feels a little personal to us. Navillus performed the masonry at Arthur Ashe Stadium at the USTA National Tennis Center, installing nearly a million blocks and 300,000 square feet of brick with a crew of more than 150 masons and laborers. Every match played there sits on Navillus craftsmanship.
