This page was originally created to offer some bits and pieces (mostly streamed video) related to my research, developed by delving into the sensory-motor cycle, that is the relationship between perception and action, as constructing an understanding of the world. The focus goes to the relationships of the body in nature - recognizing that everything is interconnected and every body-microcosm is i
ndeed a component of other body-macrocosm (and vice versa, to the immeasurable). Using information such as anatomy, physiology, ecology, to give directions to follow through in the research, experiencing concepts with embodiment, creating an inventory of affinities and metaphors inherent to the cyclical patterns that can be observed in the micro and the macrocosm. Fostering the intention of listening, it is quite essential to this work to maintain a direct relationship with nature (and having the least possible urban interference). The search for a state of perception out of the ordinary, where the boundaries of perception and action, expression, become diffuse and questionable, input and output melt into one another, accepting the vulnerability of the state of "not knowing", "non-doing", and perhaps to "non-being." The demand for different qualities of presence is a central idea in Improvisation. Experimenting with different focuses and parameters to react to the present moment, we establish the scores that make space for the freedom of new perceptions and behaviors. Essa página foi criada originalmente para falar um pouco da minha pesquisa, que consiste em mergulhar no ciclo sensório-motor, ou seja na relação entre percepção e ação, como construção de entendimento do mundo. O foco volta-se para a relação do corpo na natureza - reconhecendo que tudo está interligado e cada corpo-microcosmo é de fato constituinte de outro corpo-macrocosmo (e vice-versa, até o imensurável). Usando informações como a anatomia, fisiologia, e ecologia para dar direção à pesquisa, cria=se um inventário de afinidades e metáforas inerentes aos padrões cíclicos que se pode observar nos micro assim como nos macrocosmos. Fomentando essa escuta, é imprescindível ao trabalho a relação direta com a natureza (e tendo a menor interferência urbana o possível). A busca por um estado de percepção fora do comum, onde as fronteiras da percepção e da ação, expressão, se tornam difusas e questionáveis, aceitando-se a vulnerabilidade do estado de "não-saber", "não-fazer", e talvez até "não-ser". ESTAR. A busca pelas diferentes qualidades de presença é um idéia central em Improvisação. Através de focos e parâmetros para se reagir ao momento presente, estebelecem-se os conjuntos de regras que dão espaço à liberdade para novas percepções e comportamentos.
