After 27 years with GMS, we are saying goodbye to a truly special member of our team, Glenda Orengo.
Glenda joined GMS in 1999 at just 19 years old as our receptionist. Anyone who called GMS during those years was likely greeted by her cheerful voice and positive attitude. Her warmth, professionalism, and infectious smile made a lasting impression on clients and colleagues alike. After graduating from Pace University and joining GMS full time, Glenda transitioned to our Building Envelope group in 2003, where she supported Joe Blanchfield, Susanne Mackiw, Achim Hermes, and the rest of the team. Her dedication, attention to detail, and strong work ethic quickly made her an invaluable part of the group. In 2020, after years of assisting with invoicing, she officially joined the Accounting Department, where she continued to make a positive impact on our firm.
Over the past years, Glenda has been much more than a colleague. She has been a trusted teammate, a friendly face, and an important part of the GMS family. While we are sad to see her go, we are grateful for everything she has contributed throughout her remarkable career with us. As Glenda shared, this was not an easy decision. We wish her nothing but happiness and success in her next adventure. Thank you, Glenda, for your dedication, friendship, and the countless ways you have helped shape GMS over the years.
You will always have a home at GMS.
