Happy Thanksgiving!

I can't help but be thankful for all our fantastic clients over the years. I have been given the opportunity to meet great people and have worked with a number of fantastic teams in my career with Tech Construction LLC.
In the end I am most thankful for my fantastic staff, without their commitment and talent there would be no Tech Construction LLC.
Special thanks to all the subs we work.

Ultimately it is our clients that enable us to perform. If we had no clients all the talent would just go to waste.

Tech Construction LLC has been involved with the post Sandy repairs for a few families in the Rockaway PT and Rockaway area. To date we have helped to return 4 families to their homes and hope to continue this fulfilling work.

Tim Leahy has attended many meetings regarding post Sandy restorations and alterations. Most recently at the NYC chapter of the AIA related directly to prosurrance of post Sandy design professionals future liabilities. The reality for the moment is that post Sandy insurance requirements and building codes are yet to be determined.
For all those that can wait to rebuild there homes that were totally destroyed by the storm patience and prudence are absolutely necessary. To those who can mot wait they may be exposing their homes to unknown increased costs to insure. In the upcoming months the Fed. should have an amended flood zone map and height requirements should be determined.

Plan well and prepare for an extended time line for the rebuilding and altering of any homes more than 50% damaged ( cost to repair or alter) to value or the structure on record at your municipality or ,Arek's value of the structure less the property value.

2012 was a challenge for many New Yorkers. Our thoughts go out to so many who have lost so much. A special wish to all for Joyful Holiday season and a very Happy New Year.

Tech Construction LLC is now directly partnering with Excell Electric to schedule, access, repair and restore power to residents on the NYC coast. This means if your panel was flooded and needs repair or no repair needed and you need an inspection and a letter to your utility CONTACT Tim Leahy at Tech Construction LLC directly and we will get you back on track.
Tim Leahy will manage a team and supplemental
crew to quickly handle as many clients power needs as possible.
The best way to perform this restoration work is to coordinate with neighbors and schedule an inspection for more than one household at a time.
Pass this information on to your effected friends and family and lets get thing back on track for so many families asap.
It is best to be ahead of the utilities if possible.

I am personally working 7 days a week until all I have done to get people back on track has been done.

Tech Construction LLC has observed the damage in Long Island and Rockaway NY first hand. I have to report that our neighbors just 20 to 30 minutes away are devastated.
The resilience of all of us on the east coast should not be mistaken. The families that I have been helping with heat and hot water restoration are under extreme stress. I know that this condition is not limited to flooded areas only and my heart goes out to all the families struggling right now.
Not being able to be everywhere at once I am left to only imagine the devastation in SI and NJ. The recovery from this storm is going to take a lot hard work and patience. It is incredible to imagine all those suffering and displaced from their homes.
For those families that are barely surviving on generators etc. the power companies are starting to require that your electrical panels have been inspected before they restore your power. Some are lucky enough that their panels etc. were un effected by the flooding, for others I have found that most electricians are giving storm victims priority.
Good luck to everyone. I have seen a lot of good will in my travels and hope it continues through this tough time.
