Today we celebrate the 80th birthday of Daniel Libeskind — architect, artist, visionary, and founder of Studio Libeskind.

For decades, Daniel’s work has challenged architecture to speak not only through form, but through memory, culture, emotion, and hope. From museums and memorials to housing and urban spaces across the world, his work continues to inspire generations to imagine architecture as a force for humanity and optimism.

Happy Birthday, Daniel. Thank you for your imagination, generosity, and enduring belief in the power of ideas.

Saying goodbye to a legend.

"Frank Gehry should be celebrated for his extraordinary originality.  An architect who certainly changed the course of architecture, by underlying that it was first an art, and only secondarily a service.

He was a friend  whose works were always challenging,  surprising and provocative."

This was taken when Daniel and Nina gave Frank a private tour of the Jewish Museum still under construction in 1998.

Today, we said goodbye to one of the most beautiful models in our studio, the 1991 Podsdamer Platz competition model.

The model is making its way to its forever home at a museum, but it will be missed. Head to our stories to see the complicated reinstalling and taking apart!

Last week, we were in Prague announcing our latest project in the heart of the historic city, Sekyra Flowers. Our first project in the Czech Republic will be a bold symbol of modern Prague that will take the shape of four unique residential properties offering approximately 500 apartments.
