The RC Gardeners will have a fall plant sale on Saturday, September 26, 2026 with emphasis on pollinator plants, mainly sages, salvias, and mistflowers. Other varieties will also be available, some in limited quantities. All plants were grown without the use of pesticides. The sale begins at 9 a.m. on the RC clubhouse parking lot, 436 River Chase Way. Plants are $7 each or three for $20 unless otherwise marked. CASH or CHECK ONLY.

The videos below are fall blooming mistflowers that provide nectar when the monarchs migrate to Mexico in the fall. Crucita has the purple/blue blooms. The boneset (white mistflower) has the white blooms. Both attract not only butterflies but bees also.

Below is a list of the plants available for purchase.

What happens to rainwater when it falls on the landscape?

Join us for a guided walk around the Headwaters and see how we've designed the site to slow down, spread out, and soak in rainwater instead of letting it rush off the property.

Headwaters Conservation Program Specialist Jack Downey will show you some of the techniques we use across the site, including berms, swales, and other practical, low-tech approaches to managing stormwater and reducing erosion.

The best part? Several of these ideas can be adapted for your own yard. You’ll leave with a better understanding of how water moves across a landscape and some inspiration for making the most of the next rainfall at home.

The tour begins at 8:30 AM and lasts about one hour. Afterward, you’re welcome to stick around and explore the Headwaters on your own.

Come walk with us and see where the rain goes!
