Despite the weather, yesterday’s groundbreaking event was a day of joy and celebration at Camp Winnekeag in Ashburnham, MA, where we are underway with construction of their new Pathfinder Lodge! The new 13,233 SF two-story wood-framed camp lodge will provide 18 guest rooms, a large dining hall and lounge, along with a commercial kitchen, laundry facilities, and associated support spaces. At the event, Seventh Day Adventists SNEC President Edgardo Merrera spoke of his fondness for rainy days and shared prayers for the future of the new building and what’s to come. Pathfinder Lodge was designed by Peterman Architects. Our project team is being led by Max Hilchuk and Mike Desrosiers.

Last week we hosted a site tour of the progress taking place at the new Crane Meadow retreat center we’re building for Insight Meditation Society in Barre, MA. The IMS community of constituents and donors got to see the progress being made on this new 50,000 SF center for learning and refuge. With the main building foundations in place, visitors could see the building footprint and thus begin to envision what the new campus amenity will look like!
