Middle of August garden update! The rain has been basically none and I can’t remember the last time I watered. Wrapping up the 2026 season!!

Not the perfect garden. But it’s still pretty and I’m not worried about it. A flower garden in August is just to look at before it gets taken out. My garden is a thing enjoy and share, not something I want to expend energy worrying and finding solutions for. !

I spent yearsssss not saving seeds from the flowers I grew!! Last year I decided I needed to learn how to save them and I did! This year I had a whole garden bed full of flowers from seeds I harvested from flowers the season before!

I am an idea girly through and through. Dreaming up ideas and chatting about possibilities are some of my favorites ways to spend time! Two of my favorite bible verses are: it seemed good to me (Luke wrote his account of Jesus because it seemed like a good idea) and we were like men who dreamed, our mouths were full of laughter our younger with songs of joy (psalm 126:1-2) Flowers began as an idea and continues to evolve over the years. Typically if I have an idea I like to take the next step forward to see what it could become. Often it stops at that first step but occasionally it blooms beautifully into something amazing! I’m a big fan of you never know unless you try! What’s some type of idea you have that you could take a step and try?? Or maybe you could spend some time today giving yourself a minute to sit and dream!
