What is it and why is it crucial for an arborist to have an in-depth understanding and ex*****on to be successful in keeping you and your home safe?
Arborist rigging requires a deep understanding of rope physics and weight of wood. Techniques of using ropes, pulleys and friction devices to safely control, lower and guide cut limbs safely to the ground is crucial for success.
For example, below is a job we were called to do. The client sent us photos (photos never do justice ). The photos did not have their home in them so we weren't aware until we got there. The tree not only had a terrible lean toward the home, but it also was dead and stress fractured. We used multiple ropes and a pulley system to safely pull the tree the opposite direction of the home. I never get tired of seeing a tree go exactly where our climber said it would!

Did you know the world's tallest tree is bigger than Big Ben? Hyperion, a coast redwood measures 115 meters and the smallest is a Dwarf Willow which lives in cold and high parts of the world. Although the jury is out on whether it can really be called a tree, it is a single- stemmed woody plant that produces tiny lateral branches 😁🌱

This big beautiful oak is dubbed "the birthing tree" and is estimated to be 350-400 years old! It is said that travelers from the 1800s rested under it and women birthed children under its limbs. The trunk is over 12ft! It really is beautiful and really cool to see in person.
