ONE DECADE OF ART.

I started drawing as a grieving process.. I would close my eyes and picture wonder times, difficult times, and convey how the moments felt through these figures. As the drawings got noticed I felt like the spirit I was remembering was living on through art and she continued her life of the party vibe as the centerpiece in homes and galleries.

Since the process wasn’t centered around me I came up with an artist name; Occipital. I continue to use the process of capturing emotion through body language and apply it to numerous inspirations; mostly stemming from life around me.

It begin with creating in my home—— to my first studio in Brooklyn——— to my current studio in Rhode Island.

DECEMBER 10, 2015 was my first public show & I am still in awe looking back thinking about selling in a space overflowing with the best people. I will forever be grateful for each collector & those that have connected to a piece.

Excited to continue! Happy to celebrate this milestone— thank you for all your comments (private & public). The support means the world. Xx Occipital
