Most people call us when the house won’t cool. Sometimes, the temperature is fine—it’s the air quality they want to address.

For this customer, we installed an Air Scrubber by ActivePure directly into the HVAC ductwork. It’s designed to help reduce odors, VOCs and certain bacteria, viruses and mold in the air and on surfaces, working alongside the existing filter.

This installation uses an ozone-free cell. Ozone-producing cells are also available for compatible models.

This customer had just purchased a beach house when a major installation issue came to light: the wall-hung unit was pulling return air directly from the second-floor mechanical room.

Our team removed the existing equipment, installed a complete new HVAC system, and reworked the ductwork—including connecting the returns to bring air back from the living space where it belongs.

A newer system doesn’t automatically mean a properly installed system. The equipment, ductwork, and installation all need to work together to deliver the comfort you’re paying for.

Buying a home at the beach? Don’t judge the HVAC system by its age alone—have the entire installation checked.

This one was a little different—and what we found between the floors was a mess. 👀

After extensive mold issues affected this home and its ductwork, a remediation company removed the ductwork serving both the first and second floors.

Once everything was opened up, we discovered the dryer exhaust had been dumping warm, moist air between the floors for YEARS. To make matters worse, the return ductwork was also open to that same space, allowing the HVAC system to pull that air in and circulate it throughout the home.

After weeks of remediation to bring conditions in the home back to the required levels, our team installed the new ductwork and properly piped the dryer exhaust outside—where it should have been going all along. The air handler was also thoroughly cleaned and decontaminated before we got the homeowners’ HVAC system back up and running. 🏠❄️

There’s more to an HVAC system than the equipment you can see. Properly sealed ductwork and correctly routed exhaust matter—and this job showed exactly why.
