A pretty substantial flooring demo and installation. The carpet came up without issue, the tiles and thin set were another story entirely. After a long process of chiseling the tiles and thin set off the floor with a hammer drill and a good sanding on the concrete slab with a floor sander to make sure the residual thin set wouldn’t cause any issues, the moisture barrier and vinyl plank went down without an issue. The tile/thin set was tall so to save the customer the cost of material and labor for lowering the base trim we installed quarter round along the base trim and cabinets. The tile was laid under the cabinets and had to be cut with a tile blade on a 4” grinder. The customer was happy with the outcome and it turned out great.
