A custom-engineered channel glass system by creates the parking facade of the Frost Tower in San Antonio, Texas. The project includes approximately 28,000 square feet of Bendheim’s single-glazed Lamberts® channel glass, with alternating glazed and open sections that become a design element and provide natural ventilation. The translucent glass channels admit over 70 percent of daylight into the parking structure, while their privacy-friendly texture obscures views of the parked cars from outside. Architect: . A glass rainscreen by , featuring approximately 400 panels of textured, color-fritted, tempered-and-laminated safety glass, is part of the $95 million renovation of the MTA White Plains train station, located just outside of New York City. Bendheim developed a miniaturized, “slim” Wall-F compression fitting for the project to achieve the desired aesthetic and expedite the glass installation. The project required just two months to complete, as workers installed up to 20 panels per day. The blue ceramic frit was specified by the architects and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority as a match to the MTA logo color. The recently renovated 101 North Tryon commercial building sits at the famed intersection of Trade and Tryon in Charlotte, NC. Set above the entrance of the building, a 25’ x 14’ facade made of ‘s Lamberts® mouth-blown glass brings a colorful liveliness to the area both day and night. The installation honors the location’s historic significance, while embracing the city’s commitment to contemporary art.
