Somewhat beekeeping related. Silver lining thinking. Things happen, life throws curveballs, we flex, we work with each other versus against. Sometimes those curveballs allow us to re-focus. And sometimes it allows us to slow down, be present in the moment, not be so task oriented, and take a little time to “fill our own cups” today my cup will be filled with family time and reading. Long overdue bee post. Mice in the bee shed has forced me to take everything out, clean, bleach and start over. Today was a nice day. So brother bear came over and we “cracked some tops” inspections, how are they doing, is there drone brood (drones before swarming) and grading for spicyness. Shall I say I need to make a sign for our spicy scale (much like BWW), I appreciate appropriate tempered bees. Here is an overview of inspection findings. Noted “shady pines” was not inspected, and the other long lang hive, notes were not taken. Enjoy my mess before I put my bee yard back together!
