Building for the future.
Last week, we took some time away from our day-to-day operations to focus on business development, leadership, and the future of CBC Services.
One of the highlights was having Jack join us! As a family-owned business, it's exciting to see the next generation taking an interest in not only the work we do, but what it takes to build and lead a successful company.
Chris built CBC Services from the ground up, and we're proud of how far we've come. But we're even more excited about where we're going.
We're committed to continuing our education, developing strong leaders, creating opportunities for our team, and building a company that will stand the test of time.
Because growing a successful business isn't just about the projects we complete. It's about the people we invest in and the values we carry forward.

I LOVE MY HOME, I JUST WISH…
“…we had more storage.”

Practical tip: Before adding storage, look for wasted space.

Most homes have storage hiding in places that simply aren't being used well.

Before assuming you need more cabinets or a bigger room, look at:

The full height of closets — could shelving go all the way up?

Deep cabinets — would pull-outs make the back actually usable?

The space under stairs — could it become drawers, cabinets or a closet?

Blank walls — could shallow cabinetry or built-ins add storage without taking over the room?

Entryways — could a bench with drawers and hooks eliminate the daily pile-up?

Laundry rooms — is there unused space above the washer and dryer?

The practical rule: Don't just ask, “Where can I add storage?” Ask, “What space in my home am I already paying for but not using?”

Sometimes a better-functioning home isn't about adding square footage. It's about getting more out of the square footage you already have.

Unboxing day 📦

These Smart Cabinetry frameless Kinsley cabinets are officially arriving, and we’re loving the direction this kitchen is headed.

This rich, timeless cabinet color will be paired with a beautiful new countertop, updated lighting, a farmhouse sink, and gold faucet and hardware.
Simple, beautiful, and timeless.

But before installation comes an important part of the process: receiving, unboxing, and carefully checking each cabinet for damage or flaws. It’s one of those behind-the-scenes steps that customers may not always see, but it helps make sure everything is right before installation begins.

Before you build out, sometimes it’s worth looking at what you already have.

An unfinished basement, unused lower level, space above a garage, or even an underused room may already hold the extra square footage your family needs.

That unfinished space could become a family room, home office, guest bedroom, bathroom, workout space, playroom—or a combination of several.

Two decks.
Two sides of the metro.
Two very different stages of the process. 🔨

This week our crews are keeping busy on a couple of deck projects.

In the West Metro, we’re getting started from the ground up—literally. The guys have been digging footings and working through some seriously tough ground to get this deck started right.

Meanwhile, in the Northeast Metro, another project is taking shape as the deck boards go down and we get closer to the finished product.

This is the part of construction we love sharing—not just the pretty “after” photos, but the work, problem-solving and craftsmanship that happens along the way.

Today we’re celebrating the man who built CBC Services from the ground up.

For Chris, CBC has never been just a job or a business. It’s a reflection of who he is and what he stands for.

The same values he brings to his work are the values he carries into every part of his life—as a professional, a leader, a husband, a father and a friend.

Work hard. Do things the right way. Keep your word. Stay committed. Lead with integrity.

Those principles have been part of CBC from the beginning because they’ve always been part of Chris.

Over the years, the company has grown, the projects have gotten bigger, and the team has grown alongside it—but the foundation hasn’t changed.

Today, we’re proud to celebrate not only the owner of CBC Services, but the man whose hard work, commitment and character built the company we’re so proud of today.

🏡 I Love My Home… I Just Wish…
It felt more warm and cozy!

Sometimes the thing you’re wishing for isn’t more space or a major remodel. Sometimes your home has everything it needs—it just doesn’t quite feel the way you want it to yet.

That’s why we’re doing something a little different with this week’s “I Love My Home… I Just Wish…” and bringing in Alyssa with SimplyLyss!
We love being able to collaborate with other professionals who bring a different kind of expertise to the home. So we asked Alyssa to share how thoughtful design choices can make a big impact—even when construction isn’t part of the plan.

Here’s what she had to say:

“You don't need a massive remodel or a big budget to get a big feeling in your home.

This main floor proves that small, and intentional changes can create a big impact for your home. I focused on four simple changes for this home:

1. The right scale for every piece.
2. Real contrast instead of one flat palette.
3. Materials that mix instead of match.
4. Curtains hung the right way; high and wide.

That's it. That's the transformation.

An elevated, finished-feeling home isn't about spending more. It's about choosing with intention. A room can look expensive without costing a fortune, and it usually comes down to a handful of smart decisions instead of a big check.”

CBC Services is now a NARI Member!

We’re excited to share that CBC Services has officially joined the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI).

NARI members are expected to uphold high standards of honesty, integrity, responsibility, and professionalism. That includes maintaining proper licensing and insurance, truthful advertising, clear contracts and warranties, safe work practices, honest communication about schedules, respect for customers and their property, and professionally addressing concerns when they arise.
