Meet Shepherd Finnegan Kelly, better known as Shep, the three-year-old yellow Lab with a heart for fun and a serious case of FOMO. 🐾

Before anyone throws his ball, Shep spins in a circle exactly three times. He loves attention, playtime, and just about anything edible, but nothing compares to being included in the family pool festivities. 🎾

“Shep likes to be invited to every single pool party and will cry inside if he’s not invited outside to swim,” Lisa Kelly shares. 💬

Around the Kelly home, every good gathering is better when Shep gets his invitation. 😊

What started as one neighbor helping another has grown into a Woodforest business caring for more than 700 pets. 🐾

WoFo Pets began in 2019 when Tasha Hanks responded to a Facebook post from neighbors who needed someone to visit their dog and new puppy during the workday. 💗

Today, WoFo Pets serves more than 350 families with a team of 16 pet sitters, all Woodforest residents. Built entirely through word of mouth, the business has expanded into surrounding neighborhoods while keeping personalized, compassionate care at its heart. 🏡

It’s a wonderful example of what can grow when neighbors simply show up for one another. 🤗

Our annual Fourth of July parade brought neighbors together at Christine Allen Park for a celebration filled with golf carts decked out in red, white, and blue. Many neighbors made the occasion even more memorable with decorations honoring America’s 250th anniversary. 🛺
