With the colder weather starting, we are starting to get calls about winterizing irrigation systems. Don't panic its suppose to be 90 next week! As always we start winterizing irrigation around October 20th and it takes us about 2 weeks to get through our 300 plus customers. We are taking on more customers for winterazation and go until they are all done. We own our own high volume compressor so we will continue until we are done and always get calls in November and thats not a problem. Also it never fails the city or county water districts send out a freeze warning and we get calls with people concerned about the irrigation system. It takes more then a few hours in the morning to hurt any above ground irrigation. If you are concerned and have a above ground vacuum break/backflow preventer just cover it with some insulation or blanket and it will be fine! We usually never see a problem of freezing above ground that actually damages irrigation until about mid November. If we winterized your system last year you are on our schedule and no need to call or text, if we didn't please fill free to call and text to get on the schedule. Last but not least we winterize Moab in areas so once we are done with that area we move onto the next area. Thanks and we look forward to taking care of you!!!
