Here the lap siding is being installed to the exterior of the house. We are performing a very modern and clean install with minimal trim and adornments. This siding we are using is a very durable cement-based product and is both fire and pest retardant. This siding material is tenacious at holding paint and is rarely damaged by hail and harsh weather. In addition, we are using coordinating trim and fascia to complete the install The only drawback to such a nice product is that is it is more difficult to install than cheaper products and requires more competent and careful installers to adhere the siding and trim versus a vinyl or wood based/wood chips product.

Pre-siding flashing and insulating being done here. Notice the 2 inches of ridgid foam board being installed under the porches. This foam board is being installed under the second floor, floor truss framing. To make these nice porches the house hangs over the porch. This creates a cold spot in the winter time. In order to avoid this challenge, we have spent a good deal of time installing the foam board and doing a detailed air sealing to keep the house comfortable and cozy. You may also notice the bits of flashing attached to the wall . These are the areas that will get electrical fixtures or plumbing fixtures exposed through the side of the house. This extra little bit of metal flashing avoids future water damage down the road.
