Another 2" sandpoint well back up and running! A new foot valve stopped this customer's pump from running when no water was being used. This continuous running and loss of prime caused the shaft seal to fail, finally retiring this pump from 1978!

We recently replaced a motor adapter on a Goulds deep well jet pump. After completing the pump repair, it became clear that the pressure tank also needed to be replaced. Over time, the air bladder inside pressure tanks can develop leaks, leading to a loss of pressure in the system. When this happens, the pump begins to short cycle, turning on and off each time water is used. This constant starting and stopping puts unnecessary strain on the pump and can cause it to fail prematurely.

If you notice your pump running more often than it should, replacing the pressure tank may fix the issue!

We recently helped get this cabin set up with a reliable, winter proof water system. We dug in a new water line from the well and buried it five feet deep, overlaid with insulation, so it’ll stay safe from frost once the cold hits. Inside, we added a new compact pressure tank along with a cycle stop valve to ensure consistent water pressure.
