Congratulations to Andy Rather on his well-deserved promotion to Senior Superintendent!

Andy joined Ancoats early in our story and has grown right alongside the company. From leading complex commercial and life science projects to mentoring our growing field team, Andy has made a lasting impact on our projects and people.

As Senior Superintendent, Andy will expand his leadership across our field operations, supporting our teams, developing our people, and helping carry the Ancoats Standard forward as we continue to grow.

We’re grateful to have had Andy with us for nearly five years and excited for what’s ahead. Congrats, Andy. Well earned!

Rendering vs. Progress

Our new home.

Seeing the details move from the design on screen to the space in front of us is an exciting milestone, especially when we’re the client!

Our new office inside the Engine House will be an improved space for our team to flourish, an improved place to collaborate, build relationships, and call home.

Stay tuned for more updates to come ✨

Year 3️⃣ of the Ancoats Golf Classic. ⛳

Our team hit Braemar Golf Course in Edina for an afternoon of friendly competition, good company, and some much-needed time together outside of the office and jobsite.

Thanks to everyone who made our 3rd Annual Ancoats Golf Classic a great day. We’re already looking forward to the next round!

Meet the newest member of the Ancoats team, Doug Henley, Assistant Superintendent.

Doug brings nine years of construction experience, with a background that started in high-end custom home framing and later grew into project management for residential remodeling.

He enjoys working with different teams to bring a project to completion and seeing the finished space come to life. And when he’s not on a jobsite, you’ll find him biking, birding, following Manchester United, or keeping track of it all in his favorite tool, a notebook.

Welcome to Ancoats, Doug. We’re excited to have you on the team.

We’re proud to partner with the University of Minnesota and HGA on the MIDB Sensory Spaces project, which will create a dedicated space designed to support patients with sensory sensitivities.

While the footprint is just 500 square feet, the work is anything but simple. Our team is coordinating construction within an active clinic and research facility, carefully planning each step to minimize disruption while delivering a space that will make a lasting impact.

This project also marks our first with the University of Minnesota, and we’re grateful for the opportunity. We can’t wait to share the finished space with you later this fall!

Meet the superintendents behind the work.

Next up, Bill Hennen, Superintendent.

Outside of work, Bill’s favorite place to be is with his wife and three kids. Whether he’s cheering on his oldest daughter in volleyball (with Mom as coach) or spending time together outdoors, family always comes first.

If he had a full day to himself? He’d either do absolutely nothing... or sneak away to North Long Lake in Brainerd for a quiet day of fishing.

Steady, dependable, and family-first. That’s Bill, both on and off the jobsite.

This week, our team traded the jobsite for a different kind of project, joining forces with &hammers to give a neighbor’s home some much-needed TLC.

From painting to repairs, our team put in the work together to help refresh the home and support a member of our community. With several new faces at Ancoats, it was also a great chance to spend time together outside of our day-to-day work!

Good work, good people, and a good reminder of what can happen when a team comes together. 💪
