Pre-sunrise setup today. 100+ yards going down for an awesome new doggy boarding business in Canton. 300+ ln ft of channel drains, sloped floors galore, and big ole footings for block partition walls. This one was fun to setup.

30x40 shop pad for Mr Goodwin. This one’s been a long time coming.

A previous contractor over charged and under performed on a new driveway for him. We have since added 12” of elevation to the driveway and replaced the damaged culvert at the county road. Then we topped it with fresh crushed concrete allowing for adequate access for our trucks and the concrete trucks. Oh and we even reset his gates for him because they were falling over.

28 loads of fill were required for the building due to the prior contractor removing dirt at the building site to make the driveway 🤦🏼‍♂️ “You’re killing me smalls”. Months of heavy rains and a few weeks of 90+ temps bring us to today….. Pour Day!!!

All this done while Mr Goodwin was home working and living life to the fullest in South Carolina. We’ve never met, but he has trusted me and my crew with doing what is right and fair to correct the shoddy work and get his building slab poured. Tomorrow he arrives at his property and I get to show him all that has been done and thank him for letting me play in the dirt.

Before and after of a driveway repair in progress.

The previous contractor did not do any prep work on the property before placing the crushed concrete. The low spots were left as they were and held water.

We’re 40 yards of select fill in and bringing the driveway elevation up 6-10 inches and 2 feet wider to get above the water. Along the way we’re cutting a small ditch on both sides of the driveway to direct the water to the county road and off the property.
