This project included the installation of recessed can lights and ceiling fans, helping bring better lighting and airflow to these living spaces.

⚡ A LITTLE MORE THAN JUST AN RV OUTLET

This customer originally reached out to us about getting power set up for his RV.

While we were there, we ended up adding an outdoor receptacle and a light fixture as well.

We really enjoyed this one because it was one of those jobs where the little details mattered. The conduit had to be run around the RV pad and tied into everything in a way that was both functional and clean.

We always try to look at the whole picture—not just what needs to be installed, but how it will work for the customer once we're gone.

We appreciate the opportunity to work on projects like this, and we're grateful every time someone trusts us with their home or property.

🦖 EVER WONDER WHERE “JURASSIC SPARK” CAME FROM?

We get asked about our name and our logo quite a bit, so we figured we’d finally tell you the story behind them.

There’s an old electrician joke about electricians being dinosaurs because we’ve been doing this for so long. 😂⚡

Then there’s our son, who has been absolutely obsessed with dinosaurs for as long as we can remember. His favorite is the Sinoceratops, a member of the same family of horned dinosaurs as Triceratops. 🦕

And he says he wants to be a Sparky someday, too. ❤️

Then there’s where we live and work. North Texas has an incredible dinosaur history, with dinosaur tracks, fossils, and other evidence of prehistoric life found throughout the region. Being surrounded by that history just made the dinosaur side of our name feel even more fitting.

We also wanted a name that would stand out from the crowd. We didn’t want to be just another electrician with a name that sounded like every other electrical company.

So our name and logo ended up being a combination of:

🦖 A little electrician humor
🦕 A whole lot of dinosaurs
⚡ Our son and his love of the trade
🏡 The area we’re proud to serve
⭐ And a name that’s a little different—just like we wanted

It wasn't something we sat down and overthought. It just fit us.

And that's how Jurassic Spark Electric came to be.

Texas Heat Can Expose a Weak Electrical Connection

When temperatures climb into the triple digits, your electrical system is working harder—especially with HVAC equipment running for hours at a time.

One thing we pay attention to in extreme heat is heat at electrical terminations.

A loose, damaged, or poorly terminated connection creates resistance. That resistance creates heat. Then the added heat can make the connection deteriorate even further.

It's a cycle we don't want happening inside a panel, disconnect, or other electrical equipment.

That's why when we're troubleshooting a summer electrical issue, we're not just looking at what's tripping. We're looking at why it's getting hot in the first place.

And if an AC breaker starts tripping repeatedly during the hottest part of the day, don't just replace it with a larger breaker. The breaker may be doing exactly what it's supposed to do.

⚡ Heat doesn't create every electrical problem—but it can expose the ones that were already there.
