From the School Board:

"We are so grateful for those who attended and participated in the school's Grand Opening today. Seeing the faculty's school preparations gave us a little peek at their efforts and commitment to our students academic success. As board members we receive wonderful feedback about our students challenges, achievements, and their future plans. We are very proud of them. Having a district make the sacrifices they have with clear determination of providing a quality education, renders opportunities to children that will take them to even greater achievements than our own. We ask all to stay tuned-in for future events; young, old, whether you have children in the school or not, we want everyone to see and experience the outcomes of your investment. This is truly an exciting time for Middleton."

"A special thank you to the Recreation Committee and Dylan Colantuone for volunteering at this inaugral event!"

Over 80 people came to pay tribute and honor to our country's flag as it was raised for the first time at the elementary school. Police Chief Randy Sobel, Fire Chief Bill Lawrence, Rep. John Mullen, Selectmen Jon Hotchkiss, Superintendent of Schools Keith Pfeifer and many residents of Middleton and the surrounding communities took part at this historic event.

All were especially proud of the Daisy's, Girl Scouts, Venture Crew, and Boy Scouts who took quick charge and responsibility of the color guard and flag raising. These youth and those children who will enter into the elementary school this fall are our country's future.

Also spotted in the crowd was a recently awarded Eagle Scout, Zachary Shaw of Middleton!
