Most people recognize the hammer and mallet in our logo, but the symbol at the bottom is what means the most to me.
It’s a sextant.
For centuries, a sextant was used by navigators to find their position and chart a course when there were no roads, no maps, and no easy answers. It helped people find their way.
Building and remodeling a home can feel overwhelming. There are countless decisions to make, unexpected obstacles, budgets to manage, and a lot of uncertainty along the way. My job isn’t just to build a project—it’s to help guide our clients through the entire journey and make sure they arrive at the destination they envisioned.
I grew up in this industry, working alongside my mom and dad and learning lessons that can’t be taught in a classroom. Those values became the foundation of how I run this company today.
At Ellis Development, we’re not just building homes. We’re helping families create the places where their lives happen, while staying true to a family tradition that began in 1981.

🔥 From Ashes to Art — Why You Never Give Up 🔥

Sometimes, the biggest setbacks are just the setup for a comeback.

This home in Dana Point had a rough history — fire damage, years of neglect, and more than one person saying it "wasn't worth saving." But we saw something else. We saw potential. We saw beauty buried under soot and scorched framing.

Fast forward to today — this same house is now a showpiece. A place the owners are proud to call home. Clean lines, natural light, and a warmth that has nothing to do with the fire it survived.

At Ellis Development, we believe in second chances — for homes, for people, and for dreams. This project is a reminder that when you refuse to give up, even the worst damage can be rebuilt into something better than ever.
