"Looking for someone from the Park/Highland neighborhood, early 1970s"
Hey everyone! I'm trying to track down someone I knew as a kid growing up near Park Ave and Highland, close to Memphis State. Around 1973-74, a young man named Ray Esrey (not 100% sure of the spelling — possibly Esray) lived on or near Carrington Street. He was a few years older than me, a teenager at the time, and had polio.
Ray was a genuinely good person — he connected me with a bedridden neighbor who needed help around the house, and that experience has stayed with me my whole life. I'd love to find him just to reconnect and let him know I still think about that.
