I finished up the Martin from yesterday first thing this morning, and then moved on to some open heart surgery on this Gibson ES-335 Supreme for a Patreon member. Swapping out the bridge humbucker for a Suhr Thornbucker+. Unfortunately, Gibson wires the grounds on these pots so tight, all four of them had to come out so I can get to the push-pull pot through the pickup cavity. This could have been a pretty easy job, but sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do!

If you’re off work today, I hope you had a great Labor Day weekend!

It’s a sunny Sunday here in Memphis. I’m hanging on to every bit of summer that God gives us, that’s for sure!

I got mine going with this Martin Eric Clapton signature model. It’s getting a binding repair, strap button install, and a much needed setup. This one will roll into tomorrow so the glue will have time to dry. Have a great week ahead, everybody.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend, so far. I got my Saturday rolling with these two. A Jackson Flying V for the boys in Black Market Salvation, getting a setup in drop B, and a Fender Tele for a Patreon member getting a setup in standard, and an electronics diag/repair.

Any of my friends recognize this Fender Jaguar bass? Let me know in the comments if you do. It was here today for a setup, and the Gibson Les Paul was here for some fretwork, electronics work, and a setup. Have a great weekend, guys.

I finished up the last of the Gretsch Round Ups today, and then moved on to these three bad boys. A 1962 Fender Jaguar that’s here for an inspection to validate if the parts are all original (clearly the Mastery Bridge isn’t OEM, but the original bridge is in the case). Also got a setup done on a great looking Fender Strat for a Patreon member, and another setup done on this awesome Ernie Ball Music Man Dustin Kensrue signature model for another Patreon member. Tomorrow is finally Friday, so hang in there, friends.

🚨 BOOKED UNTIL 10/1/26 🚨

After spending a small fortune on my air conditioning repair today, I hate to make this post, but I’m buried in guitars right now. I can’t accept anything else until October 1st unless you are a Patreon member. Sorry for the halt in production, but the line is getting ridiculous at this point. Thank you for understanding. 🙏🏻

Working from the home base today. Unfortunately, my air conditioner decided to quit on me last night, so it’s a balmy 84° in here. 🥵 The repair guy is here fixing it as we speak, and it’s been quite the process, so far. Nothing like an unexpected $800 repair bill so you can have A/C for like another month, but hey, it is what is is, right?

So now that I’ve successfully wasted a minute of your time reading about my A/C issues, let’s move on to today’s guitar offerings. I’ve got a Gibson Les Paul in for a setup, and a Fender Strat for a Patreon member getting a setup, a custom neck plate installed, and a new tremolo arm. Stay cool, folks.

After many months of these on order, we finally got in our Gretsch Round Up guitars! Only 8 exist, and we have all 8. They’re all spoken for, too. I’m going over these to make sure they’re good to ship off. Also working on this Fender Tele with a chambered body for a Patreon member. Setup in standard.

I’ve got a lot of guitars in line right now, so my turnaround for non-Patreon members is getting a little slow, but I’m working as hard as I can to keep things moving, so bear with me, folks.

📖Please read this post📖

Over the past week or so, I’ve talked to a dozen or more new clients, and probably just as many of my regular customers, and I told all of them that I couldn’t accept their guitars until after this week due to a medical procedure that was initially scheduled on September 2nd (my next scope). I just found out today, that it’s getting rescheduled to October 15th, so I will be continuing work as normal until then. If you’re seeing this and we had that conversation, feel free to reach out again and we can figure out an updated timeline for your repairs. Thank you for understanding.

These two from today make three Teles in a row on the bench. Both of these are Fender - a Road Worn for my friends in StopGap Solution, getting a fret level and setup, and a 90s Mexican Standard getting a setup for slide, and a big time buff and polish.

Speaking of Teles, has anyone watched that Fender documentary on the Tele that they announced today? I haven’t had time yet, but I definitely intend to. Should be a cool watch. 📺
