As a Licensed Therapist, heavy on the licensed, I have been in my purpose for a long time. In that time, I have run this workshop TWICE and here is just a piece of one of many reviews.

You can love God and still have questions.

Read that again.

You can love God and still have questions.

You can respect Scripture and still want to understand how the things you've been taught actually fit together.

You can even discover that something you were taught *in God's name* wasn't actually God's design.

That doesn't make you faithless.

It makes you human.

Over the last two cohorts of Embracing Womanhood, I've watched women do something incredibly brave:

They started asking questions.

And instead of shame, they found curiosity.

Instead of performance, they found peace.

Instead of simply accepting inherited beliefs, they began examining them.

And perhaps most importantly, they discovered:

"I'm not the only one who has wondered this."

That's why we're doing it again.

God isn't asking you to become smaller.

Being a good woman doesn't require abandoning yourself.

A lot of women have been handed a version of womanhood built around performance

Be softer.
Be quieter.
Be agreeable.
Give more.
Need less.
Don't question.
Don't challenge.
Don't make people uncomfortable.

And then we're surprised when women reach adulthood and don't know what they actually want.

There is a difference between becoming who God created YOU to be and becoming who everyone else decided a woman should be.

Embracing Womanhood is an invitation to explore that difference with me.

Have you ever wondered that maybe you aren't confused about your femininity?

That maybe you were just programmed to accept a one size fits all definition.

You were told what a “good woman” looks like and it may not have looked like you.

How she should dress, may be different from yours
How she should speak, may be of a different cadence
How she should love, may not be your language
How much she should sacrifice, far more than you're willing to
What she should tolerate, at the cost of herself
What she should want, even when her intuition tells her otherwise
What she should believe, even when it left you with even more questions

Somewhere along the way, you learned how to perform womanhood before you ever had the opportunity to understand it for yourself.

What if asking questions isn't a lack of faith? It isn't.

What if God isn't threatened by your desire to understand? He isn't.

There is a difference between indoctrination and formation.

One teaches you WHAT to think.

The other teaches you HOW to think, discern, wrestle, grow, and ultimately choose for ourselves.

That's part of the work we're doing in my upcoming cohort Embracing Womanhood: Through the Lens of Creation, Not Indoctrination.

What just happened reminded me that how you show up matters.

On our recent trip, I helped two lovely aunties find their way to the dining room. We shared our dinner table with them when theirs was given away. I also helped them navigate the cruise app. They were so kind, cute, and hilarious! We had a great time together. ☺️

No hidden motives, just wanting to help. My mama raised me right. 😉 (also, I try to treat all the aunties like I want someone to treat my mama)

Today, one of them reached out and ordered TWO copies of my book! 🥳

Kindness is a currency that always comes back to you. Keep showing up with a pure heart. 🤞🏽
