We have some new faces around here, so we thought it was time to reintroduce ourselves! 🖤
We’re Jimmy and Ashley, the husband and wife team behind Modern North Collective!
Our story started back in 2016 with just $40 worth of tools, some free wood, and a whole lot of determination. We had no idea where this little adventure would take us, but looking back at how far we’ve come is pretty incredible.
What started with humble beginnings has grown into something we are incredibly proud of. It hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge, every opportunity, and every person we’ve met along the way has helped shape the business we have today.
And the best part? The people. We’ve been fortunate enough to work with some truly amazing clients who have trusted us with their homes, supported our small business, shared our work, and cheered us on along the way. There genuinely isn’t a day that goes by that we aren’t grateful.
We absolutely love what we do. There’s something so special about taking a vision and turning it into a beautiful, functional space that families get to enjoy for years to come.
Almost 10 years later, we’re still doing what we love, still learning, still growing, and still incredibly thankful that we get to call this our work.

Us in 2016 doing a project a project for my grandma 🔨 me holding my precious Bosch impact drill. I’ll never forget the excitement I had buying it and that little drill created so many pieces of furniture.
Circa 2016 - out apartment filled with our furniture projects (peep my little Bosch drill, it no longer works but we have kept it for sentient).
