POV: You survived the nightmare wallpaper room… only to remember there’s ANOTHER room left with the same brand 😭💀

Real talk though- not all wallpaper is created equal. One of the biggest misconceptions is that wallpaper is wallpaper… and unfortunately, it’s not that simple.

A lot of times clients already have the material before calling me, and over the years I’ve learned the hard way that cheaper wallpaper usually means cheaper material. Thin paper, poor backing, inconsistent prints, stretching, tearing, shrinking, bad seams… aka HOURS of fighting for both the installer and the final result.

As a professional installer, I can only control so much. The material matters just as much as the skill. Which is exactly why moving forward, if it’s a brand I don’t know or haven’t worked with, I’m probably passing 🙃

Because sometimes the “cheap” wallpaper ends up being the most expensive headache for everyone involved 🤝

Truthfully, putting yourself out there, sharing your work, speaking on your experience; it can feel uncomfortable. But hearing from young women who say I inspired them to get into the trades? That makes every post worth it.

I’m at a stage in my life where if you want to get into the trades, I genuinely want to help encourage the process. Not just the highlight reel- the real side. Learning the skills, understanding the dues, navigating a male-dominated industry, building confidence and figuring out how to actually be successful long term.

Because if I can help make the road a little less lonely for the next generation of women in the trades, then that means something. 🫶🏼
