Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the heart of your home’s electrical system.

Main Breaker
This is the big switch at the top. It controls power to the entire house. If you ever need to shut everything off at once, this is the one to flip.

Bus Bar
Think of this as the “power highway.” It distributes electricity from the main breaker down to the individual circuit breakers.

Circuit Breakers
Each breaker controls a specific area or appliance in your home — kitchen outlets, lights, AC, etc. If something overloads or shorts out, the breaker trips to protect your wiring and your home.

Branch Circuits
These are the wires that carry power from each breaker out to different parts of the house.

Neutrals & Grounds
These wires safely return electricity and provide a safe path in case of a fault. They’re a big part of what keeps your electrical system safe and stable.
