A full kitchen remodel is not the only way to add useful storage.
For this laundry room in The Colony, TX, we installed North Point Kitchen Cabinetry above and beside the washer and dryer to add storage, a folding counter, and a finished built-in look.
These cabinets are custom-fit to the space and available in North Point Kitchen Cabinetry’s established colors and styles. They are not custom-built cabinets, and we do not color-match existing cabinetry.
Kitchens Alive is known for custom pull-out shelves, but we also create practical storage solutions for laundry rooms, utility areas, toilet toppers, pantries, and other small spaces.

Small cabinet. Big opportunity.

Most cabinets this size would normally get two pull-out shelves. This customer wanted storage for smaller specialty items, so we fit three custom pullouts instead.

That’s the nice thing about custom. We’re not trying to make your cabinet fit our product—we build the pullouts to fit your cabinet and what you actually want to store.

Custom pull-out shelves for your existing cabinets throughout DFW.

Working from home? This Melissa, TX homeowner found a better use for an underused closet.
Custom pull-out shelves created organized home office storage for a printer, supplies, files, and equipment. The printer glides forward when needed and tucks away when work is done.
Custom pull-out shelves aren’t just for kitchens and bathrooms. They can make closets, pantries, and utility spaces work harder, too.

We Can’t Make Your Mixer Lighter. We Can Make It Easier to Lift.

A heavy stand mixer can be tough to pull from a lower cabinet. For this Dallas installation, an existing top drawer ruled out a mixer lift. Our custom pull-out shelf brings the mixer forward so it is easier to reach, get a secure grip, and lift from a more stable position.

The mixer still weighs the same—but better access makes a difference.

Tall bottles? Heavy items? No problem.
For this Dallas, TX customer, we removed the existing cabinet shelf to create extra height and installed custom solid white birch pullouts designed around what they actually needed to store.
The heavy-duty bottom pullout has a 200-lb capacity—ideal for liquor bottles, tumblers, small appliances and other tall or heavy items. The shorter upper pullout keeps shot glasses, accessories and smaller items organized and easy to reach.

Every home has unique storage needs, and sometimes standard organizers just aren't enough.
This recent project in Plano, TX features custom heavy-duty pull-out shelves with 200-pound full-extension drawer guides and 10-inch-tall solid birch sides, built to handle oversized and unusually heavy items.
While these custom drawers were designed for a large cookbook collection, they're also ideal for cast iron cookware, small appliances, binders, photo albums, office files, and many other storage challenges.
Every home is different, which is why every pull-out shelf we build is custom-made to fit your cabinets and the way you live.

Do you have a vanity knee space that never gets used?
You're not alone. Many homeowners have this space in their bathroom, and it often becomes a catch-all for clutter.
For this homeowner in McKinney, Texas, we transformed that unused area into organized bathroom storage with two custom pull-out drawers. Now everyday items like toiletries, cosmetics, grooming supplies, and towels are easy to reach and neatly organized—all without replacing the existing vanity.
Sometimes the best storage isn't about adding more cabinets. It's about making better use of the space you already have.

What happens if a pull-out shelf ever needs service?
We recently received a call from a customer whose custom drawer under the cooktop wasn't soft closing properly. We installed it about two years ago.
After a quick inspection, it turned out to be a simple adjustment. A few minutes later, the drawer was opening and soft closing perfectly again.
The customer expected to pay for a service call. Instead, we told him there was no charge—it was covered by our lifetime warranty.
We believe a warranty should be more than words on paper. It should mean standing behind your work long after the installation is complete.
If you're considering custom pull out shelves, choose a company that's still there when you need them.
