I dunno about y'all, but for me (Elliot,) September on the property always feels a lil bittersweet. The flowers are at their absolute happiest, pumping out blooms and showing off their true colors. They don't know it, but in just a few weeks, the wheel of fortune is gonna turn, and the frost will put the raucous rainbow to rest quietly in the night. We never know exactly when that night is gonna come, but we know it's on the horizon.

Get outside this month, my lovely fellow flower fanatics. Enjoy the explosion that comes before the end. Take part in nature's last yearly hurrah before winter comes knocking ❤️

It was great to run into these two again at the National Dahlia Show. Eugene and Rosie are the faces behind River's WB Dahlias and two of the kindest folks you could hope to meet. They also happen to hybridize some of the most stunning dahlias on the market today. They are truly two of the brightest gems in the dahlia community.

We're live at Monroe Farmers Market - Monroe, Michigan until noon or sell-out (which is likely; we brought fewer bouquets than usual because Lucas is headed out to Grand Rapids for the national dahlia show and only has so many hours in the day to Get It All Done,) so be the early bird!
