When you’re renovating an active medical and research facility, the last thing you need is uncertainty about existing conditions.

That’s why our client needed millimeter-accurate as-builts across 180,706 square feet across 11 floors at Columbia University’s Irving Medical Center.

GPRS Project Managers carefully coordinated the 3D laser scanning process around ongoing medical, research, and academic operations.

Renovating a busy resort casino is no small bet.

Pechanga Resort Casino needed to modernize its hotel, event spaces, and ballrooms without disrupting daily operations or risking damage during cutting and coring.

Before crews could move forward, they needed confidence in what was hidden inside the elevated concrete slab, including rebar, conduits, PT cables, stud rails, and other embedded obstructions.

These images show how much information one laser scanning project can capture.

GPRS Project Manager documented approximately 7,476 square feet of interior and exterior existing conditions at Graff Diamonds in New York, New York.

The laser scanners captured more than individual points. They created a detailed record of the entire environment.

Updated as-builts for the owner’s representative and architect included a 3D point cloud, 3D Revit model, TruView virtual tour, floor plan, RCPs, and exterior elevations.

When project teams start with a reliable foundation of existing conditions, they can reduce rework, avoid costly change orders, and minimize repeat site visits.
